Vanasek Insurance Services is certified as MBE/WBE/DBE firm with California Department of Transportation. Vanasek Insurance Services bids on contracts that require on-going consultant/broker services to implement and maintain benefit programs for union and non-union employee groups. These services are required to maximize benefits for the employees as well as contain costs for both the agency and its employees.

Vanasek Insurance Services typically provides ongoing services that include, but not necessarily limited to, the following:

• negotiate annual renewals;
• review insurance contracts;
• market benefit plans;
• provide claims assistance;
• act as a liaison with the insurance carriers; and
• analyze pending benefits legislation and its potential impact for the agency.

These services are generally provided for medical, dental, vision, life insurance, long and short-term disability, and other ancillary benefit coverage that may be considered by the agency.

Ultimately, the scope of services of a bid will define how the efforts will be performed and delineates our responsibilities as well as the agency responsibilities.

Consultant/broker services are also provided for property and liability insurance programs.  Again, are services are ongoing that include, but not necessarily limited to, the following:

• Insurance marketing on cost, service, coverage and security;
• Prepare materials for underwriting as required by insurers;
• Verify accuracy of binders, policies, endorsements, invoices, claims prior to delivery;
• Provide recommendation on coverage changes or adjustments as needed;
• Prepare proofs of loss or claim reports;
• Obtain loss settlements, histories, and summaries from insurers.
